My teacher's assistant took one of my older papers and she said she wanted to read it and take notes. It's been 3 weeks. i wanna ask for it back. what can i write in the email?

What can I write in this email that wont sound rude?

Do you remember when you asked to read my paper and take notes on it? I would very much appreciate it if you could return it as soon as possible because it is one I would like to keep. I am alright with you taking notes on it, but I didn't think you would need it for this long. I hope that this does not perceive as rude to you, but if it does be assured I mean no offense.

Reply:First of all it's never rude on our part to ask for something that's ours' to begin with it's rude behavior on the borrowers' part that said Just em her %26amp; say I'd appreciate it if you could return my papers %26amp; then put a day on it OK
