How come sometimes when I send email the person I sent it to never gets it?

Sometimes I send email and the person i sent it to does not get it. And sometimes I don't receive email people send me. And I never get an email saying it failed. Why does this happen?

How come sometimes when I send email the person I sent it to never gets it?
you could have the wrond adress, your internet could have glitches, your ISP could be the problem, the person could have lied about getting the e-mail,your e-mail could exceed bandwith, it could be marked as spam, the data could have errors, it could have gotten lost in the time space continuum that is the net, or the server may be down. why people don't get e-mails we send is the million dollar question. But as for you not getting a notification that it didn't send, well... that is extremely odd.
Reply:depends on what kind of email provider that you using.. try to contact your email provider to get the solution.. it's a big deal you know..
Reply:The most likely cause is the message was filtered into your bulk mail or spam folder. If this happens, you need to train your spam filters and/or add your friends to a white list or approved senders list.

Beyond that there could be a bottle neck with one of the servers along the way and that could cause problems. Seems like a couple times a month messages to or from my boss wind up getting held up by our mail server and we receive them at least a week late.
Reply:You either have the wrong email address or there lying
Reply:it got lost in cyberspace
Reply:There's little thing called the 'little black hole' where emails fall into, paperwork in the office that ends up missing ... anything. No, just kidding. Your email server has the right to block emails or maybe you have the wrong email address for the other person. Sometimes browsers time out too - especially if you are on dialup. If you are, you need to upgrade to DSL or cable. If it continues, I would contact the email server to see whats going on.
Reply:If the person receiving the e-mail got you on his block list (even by mistake) He won't receive your e-mail and you won't receive a bounce back. Check with your friend and make him/her check the addresses blocked.
Reply:Lol that sounds like my last ISP. They go into the blackhole. I think it has to do with spam filters at the server level. If it's your isp addy I'd call your provider. You can ask to have the filters loosened up a bit. Ya may get some more spam tho.
