How do I scan to email a document?

I want to scan a certificate and then email it. I have no problem copying but when I scan to computor, cant find it and dont know how to email it anyway. A simple solution would be helpful, I am sure its the easiest thing to do. Thank you.

Hi. During the scan use "Scan to application". This could be 'Notepad', say. When the scan is done open the file in Notepad just to be sure it's what you want. Then use email and add the file as an attachment.
