How often do you answer your email?

I'm the type of person who checks my email at least a few times a day, but my friend checks it like every few weeks (sometimes I feel like he forgot about me -__-).


What about you? How often should people check their email?

How often do you answer your email?
I'd say once a day, plus before you go to work, school, activities, ect. in case a time was changed or the event was cancelled.
Reply:I too check email several times a day and answer then and there or else at the end of the day unless it is really important. However, I have a business and belong to several organizations so email is a godsend for me and people in my situation as it saves on leaving phone messages or using the US mails at ever increasing costs. Never can understand why people have email if they do not use it and checking it every several weeks is like not using it.
Reply:It depends,I will check my email in the mornings before work and sometimes at night if I am online surfing around,I will check it from time to time and if I have something from someone,I will answer it.There have been times I didn't check my email or answer only because I've been busy but if someome write to me,I always like to reply with something,even if it is just a hello,to let them know I had not forgotten about them but I am too nice for my own good LOL
Reply:I think the computer is an enhancement, and the only etiquette is the same you'd apply to any other enhancement like the phone or the mail or the social situation. However it factors into your priorities is how it applies to you.
