How does one search for an email received during a certain period of time?

I am unable to find an email even though I used words in the email

How does one search for an email received during a certain period of time?
Do you know what day you received this email? Or approximately? If so you can sort your email inbox by date. There are 3 fields at the top of your inbox which should be similar to these, Sender, Subject, Date.





By clicking on the date tab, it will sort your inbox in chronological order.
Reply:You can set your preferences to list emails in the order you received them, and search that way. However, with some servers, the default setting is to delete mail after a certain amount of time. If that's the case, you should check in the trash. If it's not there, you may have lost the email forever, but you can change your preferences to protect future email.
